CropBioLife is a nutrient/nutrient synergist designed to be used alone or in combination with foliar fungicide or nutrient sprays to help improve the health and yield of crops. It contains one of nature’s most concentrated sources of plant flavonoids and nutrients available as 45% organic carbon.
CropBioLife is based on Aussan™, a powerful natural biocide, with added components to help plants absorb nutrients and resists pests. Aussan itself is a blend of selected bioflavonoids and organic food compounds derived from vegetables and fruit.
CropBioLife is Certified for Organic Input in Australia and approaching organic certification in the USA with GRAS. CropBioLife is completely non toxic, and is made from food grade materials only, and is naturally non-corrosive. It is used by Organic and conventional farmers alike in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. CropBioLife was invented, patented and has been manufactured in Melbourne since its inception.
Used as a foliar spray, CropBioLife:
A. Helps improve a plants immune response to disease and pests by helping to activate or invigorating its disease response mechanisms, one of which is the activation of “Phytoalexins”. Plants are capable of defending themselves against viral, fungal and bacterial attack through the production of Phytoalexins which are antitoxins naturally produced by the plant. Phytoalexin accumulation is just one part of an integrated series of plant responses leading from early detection to eventual neutralization of a potentially lethal invading microorganism.
See reference article Phytoalexins 1 McGraw Hill Group of Companies 2003.
B. Helps the plants ability to increase both yield and quality of fruit. A healthy plant produces healthy fruit. A number of trials and studies have confirmed yield increases for the fruit, grain and vegetable crops. (see Q4 & Q9)
C. Helps the plant more readily absorb nutrients. (see Q10)
Usually between 15 and 30 days. Beneficial results have been reported within as little as 2 days. However, results need to be viewed from both the initial affects of a spray and the resulting potential minimisation of disease that may be present through plant response mechanisms, as well as the medium term benefits of a season long program in combination with foliar nutrients sprays and fungicides. It is in the medium to longer term that best results have been reported by users and various studies.
A. CropBioLife is more than just a nutrient spray. CropBioLife contains compounds that are already used as metabolic triggers to plant health and essential function.
These triggers promote better health and vigour of plant by improving uptake of nutrients from the root Rhizosphere. The relationship between the root Rhizosphere organisms and the plants root system is discussed in
separately available papers - available on request, plus studies proving improved nutrient uptake.
In this way CropBioLife can make nutrient programs more effective. CropBioLife has shown in several independent tests and in regular feedback from users that it helps plants better resist disease pressure by boosting plant health. These sorts of results are often claimed, but not supported by any evidence from Nutrient suppliers.
B. Helps increases crop quality and yields. (see resources CD for a summary of available test results and usage trials)
C. Does not alter the taste of produce, has no irritant odor and has no residual withholding periods when used at manufacturers recommendations.
D. Has the potential to reduce the dependency on traditional agrochemicals (fertilizers and fungicides) – see usage studies and testimonials from Oliver Growers in particular.
E. Far less impact on the environment: organic certified (EU2092/91-NASAA) and completely biodegradable and non toxic.
F. Non corrosive to plant & equipment which reduces maintenance costs.
G. Cost effective – starts at $3.25 per 100Litres of water sprayed.

Yes. CropBioLife comes from fruit and vegetable plant extracts and organic plant acids. CropBioLife is based on Aussan, which, in the concentrations used for CropBioLife sprays, is used as a non rinse fruit and vegetable wash
prior to human consumption. CropBioLife has been independently declared as safe to use as a food processing aid.
Refer to the CropBioLife MSDS: CropBioLife is non toxic and non hazardous. CropBioLife is used and recommended as a “Nutrient Synergist”.
No, it is safe to spray CropBioLife right up until the time of harvest.
If detection of CropBioLife is possible, it would only be made on the basis of minute quantities of bioflavanoids (present in nature) or organic plant acids (also present in nature, especially in fruits.) CropBioLife is not a chemical and therefore does not leave chemical residues which are the subject of detection methodologies.
No. CropBioLife will not taint or flavour crops in the concentrations we are recommending it be used (maximum 200mL per 100 litres of crop spray)
Basically all crops, whether fruit, grains or vegetables. We have had experience, with scientific trials or non scientific farm trials with the following in locations around the world.
You can review specific information on scientific trials and the results on our resources CD - available on request. In the meantime, one conclusion is noteworthy:
1. Vegetables & Fruit and grain trial Ohio USA, measured yield, disease incidence, conducted tissue analysis and compared economics of use withchemical regimes.
“CropBioLife assists plants to increase nutrient uptake with a corresponding improvement in plant health, increased protein levels in produce, increased yield & production, reduction in disease pressure and chemical use”
More results are being reported every month. Contact us for further information.
Used as a nutrient synergist, CropBioLife does not require approvals. However, a number of approvals are forthcoming that will enable more specific claims for performance previously observed or measured in
independent usage trials.
A number of protocols have been developed to serve the needs of specific crops. See our website for more details, including instructions on spraying, timing during the day and how to get best results. Regarding a protocol for use with nutrients, check our resources CD or contact your local distributor for information. We strongly recommend CropBioLife be used in conjunction with nutrients and fungicide sprays – see our protocols for more information and which products are safe to mix with.
Traditionally, usage starts with a comparison of existing products and regimes, not an immediate 100% CropBioLife program. We do not recommend using CropBioLife without chemical fungicides. Users who undertake a season of CropBioLife and nutrients typically report greater resilience to disease pressure. This may be with the input of additional products including chemical fungicides as determined by the user.
Cost per 100 Litres starts from $3.25 for every 100L of water – see spray protocols, usage varies according to time of season and crop type. Various studies both scientific and not, have concluded that CropBioLife presents the opportunity to lower total farm input costs. This does not take into account potential increases in yield enjoyed by many farmers as recorded in trials and usage tests.
There are a number of specific directives provided on our website and resources CD. In general best results are obtained by observing the following:
- Do not apply in the heat of the day.
- Apply early morning or late afternoon. Early morning while dew is present on leaves gives best results.
- Do not apply if rain is expected within 6-8 hours. If rain occurs reapply after rain ceases.
- Mix in 20 parts per million of calcium into CropBioLife dilution for best results prior to spraying.
- Phyto-toxicity may occur when applied together with high dosages of nitrogen. We do not recommend this.
We have done a considerable amount of trials and work on the best practices to spray water based sprays on crops – contact us for more information.
